This is our sophomore release produced while Mark Quinn was exiled in Los Angeles. We were deliberately exploring new visual and substantial space on this record. The songs on here reflect a different part of what is means to be Squid. We arranged and recorded them with the help of Andy Zenczak and his gang of hoodlums. Working with Andy allowed us to confidently probe new dimensions of psychedelia, to explore without limitation. Like a latter day Axl Rose, I was hypnotized by possibility and it took quite a long time before I could accept this record as a child of mine.

Marc Brown and Mark Quinn are Humboldt Squid. We formed in LA back in 2003!! Back then there was a huge squid die-off and ... more thousands washed up on the shore in Long Beach. That's how we got our name. We love playing music together. We had some amazing shows last year and we are going to have some great ones this year. We will also be releasing an EP and our "lost" record, Fantasticum. Share the love less
